LEE MPO Public Hearing

June 16, 2023 @ 9:00 am EDT

The Lee County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) will hold a public hearing on June 16, 2023 at 9:00 a.m., at the Lee County Administration East Building located at 2201 Second Street in Room 118, to consider several agenda items. The public hearing items that the Board will consider include the following:

• Amending the MPO’s FY 2022/2023 through FY 2026/2027 Transportation Improvement
Program (TIP) to add a safety project that includes adding rumble strips on various non curb and
gutter roadway segments with speed limits of 50mph or over. The TIP amendment page and

• Adoption of the FY 2023/2024 to FY 2027/2028 Transportation Improvement Program that
includes the federal and state funded transportation improvements in Lee County that are
planned to be undertaken over the next five years. A link to the document for review is located

• Approve the federal and state funded roadway and multi-modal improvement project priorities
(roadway, bicycle, pedestrian, transit and operational priorities). The priority lists for review can be viewed at the following link:  Project Priorities

The meeting agenda will also include approval of the Safe Streets for All Grant Agreement with USDOT and a presentation on the improvement alternatives being considered for the US 41 and Bonita Beach Road intersection.
