Items of Interest on Aug. 22, 2023 Village Planning, Zoning and Design Board Meeting Agenda

The Village of Estero Planning, Zoning and Design Board will discuss several important matters at its next meeting on Tuesday, August 22.

These meetings are an opportunity for residents to learn more about growth, development, and zoning changes within Estero and to voice questions, concerns, and comments on these topics.

Among the items to be discussed:

  • A proposal for phase 3 of the River Creek community, which would include building 200 single-family homes on nearly 60 acres on Corkscrew Road between Wildcat Run and The Preserve at Corkscrew. Phases 1 and 2 of the community are currently under construction. In total, River Creek could encompass 590 homes on 395 acres.
  • Redevelopment of the former Ruby Tuesday’s outparcel at 10081 Estero Town Commons Place into a Wawa convenience store and gas station. Village staff recommends approval, with certain stipulations.
  • Continued discussion about 19 acres at 9000 Williams Road, including the Gulf Coast Driving Range, that was recently rezoned to Estero Planned Development. Discussion will center on the recreational and sports entertainment facility proposed for the property.
